The second change for the quickest way to lose weight has to be what you drink:

  1. Soda is one of the major contributors to empty calorie intake.  Switch your drink from cola to diet cola or water.
  2. Drink lots of water every day, keep hydrated.  The more water you drink, the more weight you will lose.
  3. Cut down on beer and alcohol.  Having a beer belly isn’t the next new fad and actually is very bad for your heart.  If drinking alcohol with a mixer, pick mineral water.

The third change for the quickest way to lose weight:

  1. The popular opinion of most weight loss experts is that you should keep a journal of everything you eat to lose weight naturally.  This is bothersome and hard to do, but if you can, try for at least 2 weeks as this will help you recognize your trouble areas.
  2. One of the trouble areas may be emotional eating.  Your journal will show you if you eat while stressed or emotional.
  3. Move!!  If you haven’t exercised in a long time, take it slow in the beginning.  There are all sorts of exercises that can help you.  Walking at least 4 times a week will burn some calories in the beginning and then you can move on to things you might find more enjoyable.  Try gardening, ballet, martial arts, swimming, yoga, or belly dancing.  Not only will you get your exercise but also you might meet some interesting people in the process.
